My First HDR Images

Throughout the fall I have been learning High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography. See my NYC HDR post for a further explanation of HDR or click here. These were some of my first HDR attempts. They say you can find beauty in anything if you look hard enough. HDR has the ability to capture an image in a way normal range can't. I thought these wild flowers (okay weeds) I came upon while walking the dogs are a good example.

The moonrise over this local park is another. In exposing just for the moon I would have lost all color and detail in the foreground. With HDR I can expose for each individually.

Since these were taken, I've improved at the Tone Mapping process and will post some better HDR images soon.
